Professional Summary
Technology and operations professional with 25+ years of experience solving business problems through systems, automation, process improvement, and practical application of technology. Experienced in translating operational requirements into working solutions across manufacturing, business systems, software, reporting, logistics, quality, and administration. Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams, leading development efforts, troubleshooting complex operational problems, and taking ownership from initial requirements through implementation and ongoing support. Known for finding inefficient processes, understanding why they exist, and replacing manual work with simpler, more reliable systems. Seeking an opportunity to apply this combination of technical expertise, operational understanding, problem-solving, and leadership in a role that may extend beyond traditional software development.
Selected Impact
- Reduced a BOM-based quoting process from hours — and in some cases 1–2 days — to approximately 5 minutes through automation and process redesign.
- Led a team of developers and business/systems analysts, coordinating technical delivery with business requirements.
- Developed and supported systems used across manufacturing, quality, logistics, administration, and reporting.
- Worked across the full lifecycle of business systems: requirements, process analysis, solution design, development, implementation, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
- Integrated disparate operational systems and databases to improve the availability and usefulness of business information.
- Supported manufacturing operations where system reliability, accurate information, and timely problem resolution directly affected production.
- Built custom solutions rather than forcing business processes into systems that did not fit.
- Bridged the gap between business users and technical teams, translating operational problems into practical solutions.
- Experience working in environments requiring government security clearance, including current Reliability Status and previous Top Secret clearance.
Core Strengths
- Business & Operations: process improvement, business systems analysis, workflow automation, operational problem solving, requirements gathering, process mapping, cross-functional collaboration, systems integration, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, reporting and operational visibility
- Leadership & Delivery: technical leadership, team leadership, project coordination, stakeholder communication, solution ownership, user training and adoption, troubleshooting and incident resolution
- Technology: enterprise and manufacturing systems, ERP/MRP, MES, databases and data integration, custom business applications, automation and workflow platforms, reporting and dashboards, web applications and APIs
- Compliance: Government of Canada Reliability Status (Active through 2034); previously held Top Secret clearance (CGI engagement)

Selected Experience & Capabilities
Turning manual processes into systems
A recurring theme throughout my career has been identifying work that depends on spreadsheets, repetitive data entry, manual handoffs, or disconnected systems and finding a better way to perform it. Rather than simply automating individual tasks, I look at the entire workflow — what information enters the process, who needs it, what decisions are made, where it goes next, and what ultimately constitutes a successful outcome.
Bridging business and technology
I am comfortable speaking with the person performing a task, the manager responsible for the process, and the technical team responsible for implementing the solution. This allows me to identify the actual business problem rather than simply implementing the first technical solution requested.
Operational problem solving
My experience extends beyond software development. I have worked directly with manufacturing operations, production systems, equipment, databases, reporting, ERP/MRP, MES, logistics, and administration. This has given me an understanding of the consequences of system problems in the real world — particularly when a technical issue can interrupt production or prevent people from doing their jobs.
